Join us Tuesday for first of three candidate forums

The Daily Inter Lake is holding the first of three local candidate forums at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Arts and Technology Building at Flathead Valley Community College.
Candidates from Senate District 2, House District 3, House District 4, House District 7, and House District 8 have all been invited.
The following week, on Tuesday, Oct. 9, we will question legislative candidates from Senate District 3, House District 5, House District 6, House District 9, and House District 10.
On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the candidates for the two highly important county commissioner races have been invited to their own forum.
Early voting starts Oct. 9. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
On Sunday, Oct. 14, the Inter Lake will sponsor a U.S. Senate Debate between Democratic Sen. Jon Tester, Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg and Libertarian candidate Dan Cox. The debate will also begin at 7 p.m. in the Arts and Technology Building at FVCC. Because of limited seating, tickets for the debate are being awarded by random drawing. Climate change awards announced
Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
