ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Spokane Shock took the lead for good with two quick touchdowns in the second quarter, and went on to beat the Chicago Rush 76-61 in Arena Football League play Sunday before 3,108 at Allstate Arena.

Jeffrey Soloman scored on a 2-yard run out of high motion to put Spokane ahead 34-28 late in the second quarter. On the ensuing kickoff, Kenny Spencer kicked one off the bar, Shock defensive back Paul Stephens recovered at the 3-yard line and walked into the end zone to increase the lead to 41-28.

Spokane (2-0) led Chicago (0-2) by as much as 21 points in the second half.

Erik Meyer passed for 314 yards and seven touchdowns for Spokane. Adron Tennell caught three TD passes.

Reggie Gray caught four touchdown passes for Chicago. Carson Coffman passed for 294 yards and seven scores for the Rush.

Spokane travels to Iowa on Friday.
