HOT SPRINGS - On December 22 at 2:08 a.m. law enforcement and Hot Springs Fire Department responded to a fire at Enviro-Tire located at 758 West Road outside of Hot Springs. The investigation revealed this to be an arson caused fire. It is believed that at least two persons trespassed on the property and used an accelerant to start the fire. Crime Stoppers is looking for any information leading to the arrests of the person(s) responsible fore the fire.

The owners of Enviro-Tire and Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $3,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of these individuals. You may remain anonymous when giving this information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 827-3584, extension #3.

Drug ring in Hot Springs busted

On Thursday, March 10, deputies and detectives from the Sanders County Sheriff's Office along with tribal officers and Hot Springs Police Department officers made three arrests in the town of Hot Springs.  The arrests were part of the culmination of an eight month long undercover investigation by the Sanders County Sheriff's Office, Hot Springs Police Department, Montana Division of Criminal Investigation Agents and members of the Northwest Drug Task Force. Detective Doug Dryden of the Sanders County Sheriff's Office had requested help from Northwest Drug Task Force officers early in 2010 to help with the investigation.
