Police calls: Driver threatens couple with baseball bat

Monday, March 25

7:45 a.m. A suspicious man with a rake and bucket was seen poking around at the ground near Smith Fields.

4:25 p.m. Properties on Baker Avenue were reportedly broken into.

4:35 p.m. A man on U.S. 93 South said his mother hit him and threw stuff at him. The mother said her son pushed her down and stole her money.

Tuesday, March 26

7:25 p.m. A motorcycle was pulling a skateboarder along Baker Avenue.

Wednesday, March 27

1:29 a.m. Yelling and loud booming sounds were heard at a home on East 4th Street.

10:32 p.m. A high-roller at a local casino was reported as being aggressive. He was apparently upset after putting too much money into a machine.

Thursday, March 28

3:10 p.m. A crossing guard was concerned about a pickup that had parked in an illegal spot on East 7th Street for the past three days.

4:54 p.m. Three boys were being disorderly at the middle school. They reportedly attempted to break a bench.

10:25 p.m. A reckless driver nearly hit a building and parked cars on Baker Avenue.

11:07 p.m. The driver of a white pickup reportedly revved his engine and followed two people walking on Spokane Avenue. The driver then pulled out a bat.

Friday, March 29

10:58 a.m. A woman was found trespassing inside a cabin on Birch Point Drive.

Saturday, March 30

10:55 a.m. A disgruntled employee keeps showing up at a job site on Sawtooth Drive.

Sunday, March 31

12:45 a.m. A woman reportedly attacked and threw another person to the ground at a bar on Central Avenue. The woman may have been high on drugs.

Montana Rep. Denny Rehberg will attend a public rally in Whitefish on Nov. 10 in support of the World War II statue of Jesus on Big Mountain. Rehberg will be at the VFW Post 276 on Baker Avenue at 1 p.m.
