Wilfred E. Schneberger, passed away April 1, 2013. He born in Coeur d’Alene, June 11, 1933.

Survived by his companion, Geraldine Willsey, of Coeur d’Alene; brother Don Schneberger and wife Orlaine, of Blanchard; sister Judy Doyle, of Spokane; son Ron Schneberger and wife Jeannie, of Tigard, Ore.; son David Schneberger and wife Susan, of Gresham, Ore.; daughter Rosmarie Lynam and husband Mat, of Gresham, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Mary Schneberger, his two sons Dan and Rick Schneberger, and daughter Deborah Schneberger.

Wilfred grew up in Coeur d’Alene, and graduated from the IHM Academy in 1952. He moved to the Portland, Ore., area and raised his family there.

He moved back to Dalton Gardens in his later years. He loved the mountains of North Idaho. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman. He was also involved in V8 car club and showed his amazing 1934 Ford in car shows all over the area. He loved to cruise Sherman Ave in the Car d’Alene car parade each year in his beautiful little ford with Geraldine at his side. Wilfred was also a giver of both time and money to “the least of these” and never met a (conservative) man he didn’t like.

A celebration of his life will be held at noon, on April 20, 2013, St. Pius Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
