MATTAWA - Collin Ahmann and Steven Martinez shot their personal best scores to lead the Wahluke High School golf team at the Grandview invitational last week.

There was a strong field of 98 players from single-A and AA high schools. Ahmann finished 33rd.

Allman led the team with a 92. Martinez was second with 104. Juan Lopez shot 140, and Felix Jimenez shot 148.

Jaime Guiterrez had to withdraw due to a wrist injury incurred over the weekend.

"It was beautiful weather, and I'm looking forward to my team continuing to get more experience and lower their scoring averages," coach Tiffany Hedman said.
