Flathead splits dual tennis action with Bigfork

Flathead impressed first-year head coach Sue Corrigan on Tuesday with its dual split with Bigfork at the Flathead Valley Community College tennis courts.

The Flathead boys rolled to a 6-1 victory.

The Bigfork girls pulled out a 4-3 win over the Bravettes.

“I am totally impressed and happy to see our team come together,” she said.

“They enjoyed played despite the 39-degree temperature.”

The Flathead boys won all four singles matches.

The Bigfork girls won three of four in singles play.

“They are figuring out the game,” Corrigan said.

“’What they are doing well and what they have to work on.”

Glenn Strickler and Matt Widen won at Nos. 1-2 singles by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Flathead is back in action Thursday versus Glacier at FVCC.

Flathead is at Missoula for more dual action on Saturday.
