Coeur d'Alene Sting under-11 girls (Sounders): The Sounders defeated FC Spokane Swoboda 3-0 recently, on goals by Jaizee Cessna, Geneva Bengtson and Liberty Croutch. Previously, the Sounders won their first game of the season 5-2 versus another Spokane team, SSG Shadow.
Sting U9 boys (Celtic): The Celtic beat Moscow U10 3-2 in their spring season opener last Saturday. Noah Janzen, Kohrt Weber and Mile Jones scored for the Celtic.
Sting U9 boys (Barcelona): The Sting beat the Idaho Thunder (Briseno) 11-0 last Saturday. Joseph Sarkis had four goals for the Sting, Bryce Allred had one goal and two assists, Walker Jump had one goal and three assists, Sean Dremann had a goal and an assist, Kimball Waddell had two goals, Nikolas Nowak and Lucas Woods each scored once, and Shane Neirinckx had an assist. Lucas Woods and Joseph Sarkis teamed for the shutout in goal.
In their second game on Saturday, the Sting beat Moscow United U10 (Kennedy) 4-1. Lucas Woods led the Sting with two goals, Logan Robillard had one goal, Joseph Sarkis had a goal and an assist, and Shane Neirinckx had one assist. Logan Robillard and Bryce Allred teamed in goal for the win for Barcelona, 2-0-0 in the Northwest League.
Idaho Thunder U13 boys (Gelnette): The Thunder defeated LYVYSA of Yakima, Wash., 2-1 on Sunday morning. The first Thunder goal was scored by Nick Morris, assisted by Braeden Gelnette. The second goal was scored by Braden Claflin on a penalty kick. Zack Nall had 14 saves in goal for the Thunder.
Sting U9 girls (Real): The Sting lost 2-1 to the U10 Pullman Pumas on Saturday. Molly Foster scored in the first half for the Sting.
Thunder U11 boys (Halseth): The Thunder beat the Sandpoint Strikers 4-1. Cameron Calabretto scored two goals for the Thunder, and Ben Blakely and Jadyn Freeman each scored once. Assists were made by Ben Blakely and Jalen Skalskiy.
Thunder U14 girls (Foster/VanLeuven): In their spring season opener, in District 6, play the Thunder tied the Breakers Andersson G98 1-1. Medodee Skalskiy scored for the Thunder, assisted by Cierra Foster.
Thunder U15 girls: On April 30 the Thunder beat Spokane FC 3-2, on a hat trick by Sadie Schmeling.
Last Saturday the Thunder beat the ISC Gunners 2-1. Sadie Schmeling and Shaylee Morlan scored for the winners. Later that day, the Thunder beat Spokane FC again, this time 5-3. Sadie Schmeling and Allie Crain each scored two goals and Persia Anderson had one.
Thunder U10 boys (Johnson): The Thunder beat Tri Cities ASE B03 17-0 on Saturday. Quinn Clovis had a hat trick for the Thunder, Devin Logan, Logan Koller, Ethan Johnson, Lance Gilmore and Caleb Calkins each scored twice, and Koby Johnson, Dylon Moore, Michael Schlothauer and Logan Davis all scored once. Joshua Nilson posted the shutout in goal.
Sting U13 girls (Tottenham): The Sting came from behind to beat the Breakers (Herzog) 3-2. Megan Drake, Abigail Ellison and Kimber Burgin scored for the Sting.
Sting U16 girls (Hogan): The Sting beat the MVP Marauders 96 Navy 3-2 in Puget Sound Premier League play. Aubrey Manteuffel had a goal and an assist for the Sting, and Meaghan Bare and Megan Lowery each scored once.
The Sting then beat the UPSC Sparks 2-1. Alissa Jolliff scored both Sting goals, and Tiegan Horton made three saves in goal.
