Manuel “Manny” J. Arceo, 76, formerly of Lakeside, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 15, 1936, in Merced, Calif., he was the son of the late Ruben Arceo and Otilia Vega Arceo, and moved to Joplin, Mo., in August 2012, from Montana.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, was an electrician by trade, a massage therapist, a Reiki master, an Herbal Healer Academy graduate, and a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Annette; two sons, Joe Arceo and wife Stacey of Dayton, and Ruben Arceo of Carnelian Bay, Calif.; four daughters, Linda Abreu and husband Carlos of Missoula, Lynette Arceo of Poway, Calif., Terryann Arceo of Joplin, and Lena Arceo of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Mary Peters of Oceanside, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
