Harold Strey

Harold F. Strey, 95, died April 10, 2013, at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.

He was born April 6, 1918, in Renville, Minn., to Albert and Ida (Reitz) Strey. Harold entered the Army in 1942 and served until 1945.

He married Edith Trulock on March 20, 1950, and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for five years and then at the ARCO aluminum plant in Columbia Falls until his retirement in 1980.

Harold is survived by his son Harold “Butch” Strey Jr. and wife Heather; four stepdaughters, Loretta Buller, Elsie Schulz, Lois Hanson and Cherryl Zander and husband Jerry; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls on Monday, April 15, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
