Diane (Forst) Janusch died on April 9, 2013, in the comfort of her own home in Bayview. Diane was born on Nov. 18, 1942, in Jersey City, N.J., to Florence (Foley) Forst and Sgt. Maj. USMC Clarence “Dale” Forst.

Diane was raised primarily in Southern California where in 1960 she met Larry Janusch and they married in 1965. They started their family in Coeur d’Alene shortly thereafter and have resided in Bayview since 1996. Although they were not able to celebrate their 50 years of marriage together, Diane was the love of Larry’s life and his best friend.

Having worked in Coeur d’Alene for 44 years and retiring from her supervisor position at the Kootenai County Courthouse in 2010, Diane truly valued the close friendships she’d made through the years. Diane enjoyed the outdoors immensely and she was also an avid sports fan of her two grandson’s.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Larry Janusch; her daughter, Trina Janusch-Erb and her husband, Fred Erb. She is also survived by her grandsons, Dakota Johnson and Logan Erb.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at a later date this summer with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to Hospice of North Idaho — who truly provided Diane and the family the greatest of care. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Diane’s memorial and sign her online guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
