James T. 'Jimmy' Williams, 79

James T. “Jimmy” Williams, 79, of Hayden Lake, died April 11, 2013, at the Hospice House. He was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Berkeley, Calif., to Ted and Adele (Dormoy) Williams.

Jimmy graduated from Oakland Tech High School, served with the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1959. He married Madge Myklebust in 1966 in Pullman, Wash., and they made their home in Bellevue, Wash., until moving to Hayden Lake in 1990. Jimmy worked throughout his life for American Hospital Supply which later became Baxter Health Care.

Jimmy was a member of the North Idaho College Booster Club, Kootenai County Search and Rescue, Overlake Country Club, Sahalee Country Club and Hayden Lake Country Club. He enjoyed skiing, golf, tennis and physical fitness.

Survivors include his wife, Madge Williams at home; son Erik Williams (Kelly) of Bellevue; daughter Stacy Frey (Tommy) of Hayden Lake; his sister, Barbara Williams of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Sydney and J.J. Frey of Hayden Lake, and Drew, Nick, Sofia and Brooke Williams of Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 9485 N. Maple St., Hayden, with Yates Funeral Home, Hayden, in care of the arrangements. A reception will follow the service at the church. The family prefers memorials to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835 or Parkinson’s Research, 910 W.
