PASCO, Wash. - Post Falls senior Steven Beck cleared a school record 14 feet, 6 inches to win the pole vault at the Pasco Invitational on Saturday at Edgar Brown Stadium.

Post Falls senior Wednesday Walton won the 300 hurdles in 44.95 seconds, breaking her own school record, and was second in the 100 hurdles in 15.41. Coeur d'Alene sophomore Kaitlyn Gunnerson finished eighth in the hurdles in 15.81.

"It was a good day for two athletes of ours for sure," Post Falls coach Wade Quesnell said. "It was pretty windy, so I was kind of surprised she (Walton) ran the time she did. Steven just keeps inching up there and had a couple good attempts at 15 feet and is very capable of getting it down the road."

Lakeland senior Jordan Ward won the high jump at 6-2.

Coeur d'Alene's Kara Story won the 1,600 in 5:11.83 and teammates Josie Brown was fourth in the 3,200 in 11:31.11 and Makayla Strand fifth in the pole vault at 11-0. The Viking girls tied for sixth.

Lake City's Kyler Little was fifth in the boys 1,600 in 4:24.61 and Sam Levora of Sandpoint was seventh in 4:26.66.

Maddison Ward finished fifth in the 200 for Lake City in 26.21.
