Libby rolled over conference rival Whitefish 12-2 Saturday to improve its record to 2-2.

Libby Head Coach Dean Thompson was happy with the win over a weak Whitefish team, but was more pleased he got some bench players in the game.

“We got a lot of girls in (Saturday),” Thompson said. “Some younger kids got some varsity experience.”

Libby heads to Columbia Falls on Friday.

In other local softball action, Troy was beaten soundly by Deer Lodge twice in non-conference play 11-0 and 21-6.

Hailey Peterson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Troy.

Head Coach Brendan Miller said the weather was crazy, and his younger girls weren't versed on how to deal with it. As a result, errors were made.

Troy heads to Eureka tonight.
