THOMPSON FALLS – Nathan Lee William Calvert’s omnibus hearing was rescheduled to May 21 at 10 a.m. pending his mental evaluation.

Calvert is currently in the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs.

According to County Attorney Robert L. Zimmerman, Calvert has been in Warm Springs for approximately 30 days and the hospital anticipates he will remain there for another 30 days.

The trial was vacated and Judge Deborah K. Christopher rescheduled the hearing to take place next month.

“We’ll see where we are on the 21st and go from there based on the location of the defendant,” said Judge Christopher to the court.

Calvert allegedly murdered Doug Morigeau and slit the throat of his wife, Cheryl, in a gruesome attack in Dixon.

He is charged with deliberate homicide, aggravated burglary and robbery
