Plains-Paradise players perform Peter Pan

PARADISE – The Plains-Paradise players hit the stage with enthusiasm as the children of Dixon Elementary School filled the Paradise school gym on Thursday at 1 p.m.
The actors, dressed to a tee and ready to give their all, were excited to give their first performance out of three total.
“We really wanted to welcome our wonderful guests here from Dixon. We’re so glad you could come,” said Director Ruth Winkler.
As the actors hit the stage, they brought to life the play “Peter Pan” showcasing their acting and singing abilities.
“We’ve had a lot of fun practicing and the kids are really ready to get this over with,” said Winkler with a laugh. “We’re just so excited to have you here.”
The play, spanning over an hour brought laughs to the crowd, with the crocodile being a favorite of the audience, getting up close and personal to the Dixon kiddos in attendance.
The actors maneuvered in between the audience bringing a close encounter to all those who attended.
The Plains-Paradise players also held performances on Thursday and Friday night at 7 p.m.
