On the cusp of big things
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 13 years, 4 months AGO
This is a week in which many people are almost ready to talk about their new businesses and/or locations - but not quite. So, here is what we have.
After months of preparation and a delay with the birth of a new grandchild, the Hayden Corner Store will open May 1 in the northeast parcel of Fourth Street and Prairie Avenue in Hayden.
The multi-faceted place will have normal convenience store items with grab-and-go snacks. A major part of the place will be the Euro Deli with specialty sandwiches, paninis, homemade soups, specialty salads, daily specials and European candies, cookies, jams and jellies.
A special section is set for wines with weekend wine tastings and wine-related gifts. Patio dinners will be offered as well as guest chefs with wine-paired dinners. Check the readerboard for these events.
Hans and Linda Paul built the place in 1990, but have had the Wine Cellar Cafe in Bigfork, Mont., the past five years.
Hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Studio Ten20 opens in Riverstone
Ten and 20 refer to fingers and toes, but special treatments are available for many more body parts at Studio Ten20. This "industrial glam" nail salon opened last week at 2081 N. Main St. in Riverstone.
Eight nail technicians, an esthetician, massage therapist and eyelash artist offer customized nail services, facials, body treatments, waxing, massage, eyelash extensions, special products, a hot shower and a coffee bar.
Studio hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and by appointment. Phone 930-0279. Check www.studioten20.com. A few nail stations are available through owner Jenn Pereira at 661-0651.
Macomber Law moves to Northwest Blvd.
Legal counseling, property and water issues, and construction and business transactions are specialities of Macomber Law, which has new offices in Suite 206 at 1900 Northwest Blvd.
In business for 25 years, Arthur Macomber has degrees from George Fox University and the University of California Hastings College of Law. He has taught law-related classes at North Idaho College and Gonzaga University. A special interest is stage carpentry.

Now for your special Tidbits
- Next week: Details on Bullman's Pizza in Riverstone.
- Watch for a major change at Prairie Shopping Center.
- A new beverage place will be in Post Falls.
- A store that would work in downtown Coeur d'Alene would be a rock shop. One works in comparable McCall, and North Idaho has gold, silver, garnets and a super mining history.
- Ever notice that "father" has the letters that comprise "earth?"
- Forget the "s" in the "...ward" words (toward, forward, etc.) and "anyway(s)." You don't need the word "anyway" anyway.
