With crews out patching potholes and crack-sealing city streets, Kalispell’s summer road work schedule is fleshed out for this year.
The city will chip-seal about five miles of roadway in July, having awarded a $242,479 contract for the work to Pavement Maintenance.
Much of this year’s chip-seal work is in neighborhoods along the north side of Three Mile Drive.
In Empire Estates Subdivision, Empire Loop, Rockefeller Drive, Vanderbilt Drive, Carnegie Drive, Trump Drive, Ford Way, Duke Drive and Buffet Drive all are on the chip-seal list.
Other roads slated for chip-seal work are:
• North Riding Road, West North View Loop and East North View Loop in the Northview Heights Subdivision;
• South Northview Court, Vista Loop and Sunset Court in the Three Mile Drive Subdivision;
• Aurich Avenue, Cally Lane and Fly Way in the Cottonwood Park Subdivision;
• Blue Crest Drive in the Blue Heron Estates Subdivision;
• Grandview Lane and Juniper Bend Drive in the Juniper Bend Subdivision;
• West Colorado Street from Sunset Boulevard to Fifth Avenue West North;
• East Arizona Street from North Main Street to First Avenue East North;

• Meridian Road from West Center Street to Appleway Drive.
KALISPELL HAS finalized its summer mill and overlay projects — pavement restoration work that city crews complete each year and prioritize based on road conditions and budgets.
Streets that will be milled and repaved this year are:
• East California Street from Second Avenue East North to Sixth Avenue East North;
• Claremont Street from Bountiful Drive to Conway Drive;
• Greendale Court from South Woodland to the cul-de-sac;
• Northern Lights Boulevard from Three Mile Drive to Hilltop Avenue;
