What do you say to summarize the life of a man who touched so many lives?
He was born in Seattle and graduated from Lincoln High School. He was an Eagle Scout and active in many sports. He attended Willamette University, after graduation joined the USAF. He served 20 years retiring as a Lt. Colonel in Great Falls, Mont. Skip stayed in Montana to raise his girls and work with various youth programs within the state. After his girls were "grown‚" Skip settled in Bayview on Lake Pend Oreille where his father and grandfather once lived. The lake and community became his new love, boats and goats.
Skip leaves behind four daughters, Jenny (Jim) West of Yakima, Wash., Julie Peone and Jill Adams of Spokane, and Joanna (Doug) Anderson of Coeur d'Alene; grandchildren, Jessica Duffy of Everett, Wash., Kurt, Kelsey, Katie, Kolton Peone and Jacqueline Adams of Spokane, and Jordan Anderson of Coeur d'Alene; and great-grandchildren, Madeline and Molly Duffy and JaQuis Peone. He is also survived by his brother, Jack JB Wilcox of Spokane and his former wife, Kathy Wilcox of Yakima; along with numerous cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2013, in Bayview. Please feel free to post a note or memory at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
