Softball: Columbia Falls blanks Corvallis; Eureka falls to Deer Lodge

FRENCHTOWN — Columbia Falls’ Ashley Trueblood pitched four scoreless innings and batted 2 for 3 with a double in leading the Wildkats to a 10-0 win over Corvallis at the Frenchtown Invitational softball tournament Saturday.

Relief pitcher Alex Pederson closed out the game with a scoreless fifth inning.

POLSON — Eureka lost both ends of a doubleheader with Deer Lodge via the 10-run-rule.

Alaina Wright drove in two runs in the first inning to give Eureka (2-9-1) a lead in game one, but the Lady Lions gave up seven runs in the bottom of the second, one in the third and seven in the fourth.

Deer Lodge scored 16 runs the first two innings of game two to run away with the victory. Jaimie Soderling batted 2 for 3 for Eureka.
