TWIN FALLS - Averie Schroeder hit two home runs and drove in four runs in the first game and Whitney Carlton drove in three runs in the second game as the fourth-ranked Southern Idaho Golden Eagles swept the North Idaho College Cardinals 11-4 and 11-6 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader Friday.
CSI (43-9, 37-5 SWAC) can clinch the conference title and right to host the Region 18 tournament May 8-11 with one win in today's doubleheader.
Kelsey LaVaute hit a three-run home run in the first game and added a solo shot in the first inning of the second game for NIC (18-30, 12-25).
Amber Meyers hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning of the second game for NIC.
