Bunny sellers hop off with woman's money

Two people were selling bunnies out of a red Subaru in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road, a woman told the Kalispell Police Department on Sunday. The woman said she paid $15 for a bunny but had to go into a store before she could take it home. When she came back outside they were gone and so was her bunny and her money.

A sexual assault was reported at a home on Pheasant Run. The victim and her mother were at the hospital on Sunday.

A man was parked and listening to music “very loudly” in a parking lot on First Avenue East North for several hours. He agreed to move along when confronted by officers.

Earlier on Sunday, a woman said she left her car parked overnight at a bar in south Kalispell and two windows were smashed out.

Graffiti was reported on school signs on Fifth Avenue West North.

A home was broken into on First Avenue West. Medication and items from the freezer were reported missing.

Saturday night, a woman driving on First Avenue East struck a small streetlight and continued driving, dragging the light underneath her white Chevy Trailblazer.

Earlier on Saturday, three young boys were reportedly jumping into Dumpsters and building things out of trash behind a business in south Kalispell. The boys put the garbage back into the Dumpsters and moved along when police responded.

A woman was combative and trying to get away after employees caught her shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93.

A caller organizing a peaceful sit-in at Depot Park wanted to know if she needs to notify officers or do anything beforehand.

A drunk man was reportedly punching machines and talking about shooting people at a casino in south Kalispell.

A man on Empire Loop suspected that a neighbor backed into his car on purpose. The neighbor denied doing it on purpose.

Information about an altercation between two girls at Kalispell Middle School was forwarded to the school resource officer.

A caller reported seeing a man with a teenage boy locked in a cargo trailer behind his old Ford truck in a parking lot on U.S. 93. The caller saw the man go back to the trailer and ask the boy if he was going to shape up, then lock the door again. Officers were unable to locate the man.

A multiple-vehicle accident was reported Sunday evening on U.S. 2 near the House of Mystery in Columbia Heights. One vehicle struck a deer and another went off road into a ditch. At least one injury was reported.

People keep running stop signs on Pine Avenue, a caller told the Whitefish Police Department on Saturday morning.

A man with a broken jaw told police he now wants to file assault charges.

Someone stole a bag and an iPod on East Fourth Street.

A caller reported a teenage driver scaring children on Voerman Road. The teenager drove up to the caller’s 9-year-old daughter and her friends, blew smoke in their faces and then flipped them off and drove away. Officers were unable to locate the teen, reportedly driving a small black truck with dents and scratches and wearing a green and purple hat.

A woman on Second Avenue East North told Columbia Falls Police that a small dog keeps crawling under her fence and barking and lunging at her. Officers spoke with the dog’s owner, who said he will work on keeping the dog in its yard.
