Almost three times the space and a prime Sherman Avenue location prompted the move of Coeur d'Alene Galleries to 213 Sherman Ave. The 2,500- square-foot space most recently housed Jamm's Frozen Yogurt and before that it was Bella Rosa Cafe.

Opening this week, the gallery specializes in 19th and 20th Century American western, wildlife and sporting art with original paintings, sculptures and limited-edition giclees. The collection includes work by historical artists Charles Russell, Frederic Remington, Carl Rungius, John Fery and Stephen Lyman and contemporary artists Howard Terpning, Martin Grelle, Andy Thomas, Joe Kronenberg, Brett Smith and Chad Poppleton.

Originally from Coeur d'Alene, owners Buddy and Shawna Le were educated at North Idaho College and Pepperdine University respectively and bought the business in 2006. They also purchase or consign original works.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Phone 667-7732. Check www.cdagalleries.com.

Resort Logo Shop expanding

The space Cd'A Galleries left in The Coeur d'Alene Resort will double the space of the neighboring Resort Logo Shop.

The business offers logo wear of The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course, sportswear, gifts, decorative glass, wine, huckleberry products and sundries (convenience store items).

Hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Phone 666-9021.

Club Tequila opening in Post Falls

With three successful Mexican restaurants, Felix Cabrera is adding Club Tequila at 402 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls. The building formerly housed Discount Grocery and Caruso's Deli.

Planning for a Cinco de Mayo (May 5) opening, Club Tequila will feature margaritas and mojitos with other drinks, wine, beer, chips and salsa. Accented with Mexican decor and special carpentry, the place seats 65 at tables and a body bar with high stools.

Originally from Capilla de Guadalupe, Mexico, Cabrera came to the Inland Northwest in 1984. He also has 22 employees at La Cabana restaurants in Post Falls and Rathdrum and La Cocina Mexicana in Post Falls.

With eight employees, hours at Club Tequila will be noon to 2 a.m. daily. Happy hour is 4-6 p.m.

Shopadily benefits CHS Vikings

Pre-owned furniture, clothing, shoes and sporting goods are among items at Shopadily CdA. The store celebrated its grand opening last week at 6055 Government Way, a former space of Beau Monde Exchange (now in Ironwood Square).

Proceeds benefit Coeur d'Alene High School's Viking Booster and Education Foundation organizations. Items primarily come from donations.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Phone 635-5864.
