DRIVER: Keep him off the road
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 7 months AGO
I read the article headlined on your paper dated April 23 titled “Frantic Moments on I-90” concerning a six-car accident caused by a DUI suspect named Glenn M. McNutt, age 50. It stated that Mr. McNutt appeared to be intentionally striking other vehicles.
The rampage started on Highway 41 in Post Falls and continued into Coeur d’Alene. When the police were finally able to arrest him, he was still revving his car and ready to go, but due to the damage to his vehicle, he was unable to continue.
Mr. McNutt was uncooperative with police and had to be physically removed from his car, the article stated. It further stated that Mr. McNutt had been arrested eight previous times, all DUI related over a six-year span between 2006 and 2011. What was amazing to me was — why was this individual driving a car at all and why was he not confined to prison a long time ago?
I can only hope that the court, in this case, finally gets it right and this time puts him away for a long period before somebody gets killed due to his irresponsible actions.
