Millie Dell, 96

Mildred Alice Dell was called to be with her Lord on April 14, 2013, in Careywood. Millie was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Minnesota to Amelia and Reverend Theodore Gutknetcht.
She had seven brothers and sisters. One child died shortly after birth and was buried at sea on the way to India, where Millie attended grade school and her Lutheran Missionary father's church. After returning to the U.S., she attended What Cheer High School in Iowa. After her marriage she lived in Japan and then returned to live and work in Washington, D.C., Texas and California.
Millie worked for the FBI, JAG and several military bases including Northrop AFB. Millie was an accomplished woman with a heart of gold who loved and served the Lord all her life.
She will forever be missed by family and friends. Our family would like to give heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Danny and Shelley who became like part of her family, staying by her side day and night until the end. Millie is survived by her son, Fred; daughter-in-law Pami; grandchildren, Cassie and Dean; loving friend Renee; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Kayla, Baylia and Talia; great-great-grandchildren, Drew, Kayden and Skyla.
