Grad party
The Columbia Falls Class of 2013 parent committee needs to get permission slips from all seniors by Tuesday, May 28, in order to attend the graduation party. Forms can be found at the high school office, on the high school Web page or by calling Kathy Price at 892-1162. The next parent committee meeting will take place in the high school foyer on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m.
Graduation
Khristina Smith, of Columbia Falls, and Jessi Foote, of East Glacier, will graduate from the University of Montana Western-Dillon magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in elementary education on May 11.
Honor society
Sierra Bauer, of Columbia Falls, joined 31 other students at the University of Montana Western-Dillon as new members in the Mu Phi Chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
