A Coram man has denied allegations that he was found with child pornography.

Jon Crandall, 48, pleaded not guilty July 25 in Flathead District Court to felony sexual abuse of children.

According to a court document, an April 2011 Flathead County Sheriff’s Office investigation uncovered a computer sharing files identified as child pornography. A subpoena issued to the Internet provider allegedly determined the subscriber associated with that computer was Crandall.

A December 2011 search of Crandall’s house turned up a laptop that he allegedly claimed was his. The court document claims a forensic investigation of the computer turned up 52 images and 10 video files containing child pornography.

If convicted, Crandall faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Crandall was originally arrested and jailed, with his bond set at $25,000, but that was later reduced to $5,000, which he posted.

His next hearing is set for Aug. 28.
