Somers man accused of sexual abuse

A Somers man has denied allegations that he contacted three teenage girls and tried to convince them to send him pornographic photos of themselves.
Kendrick Kramer, 23, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Flathead District Court to three felony charges of sexual abuse of children.
According to a court document, Kramer allegedly first contacted a 15-year-old girl in August 2011, pretending to be a woman and asking for nude photos. In December 2011, he is alleged to have contacted a 16-year-old girl and asked for nude photos as well as photos of her and her boyfriend.
Finally, Kramer is alleged to have contacted another 16-year-old girl and asked her for nude photos and asked her to make a pornographic video with her boyfriend.
All of the contact with the girls was through an email account represented as belonging to a woman. The court document alleges that the account was traced through the associated company, and the account holder’s birth date was the same as Kramer’s.
During a search of Kramer’s home, his mother reportedly showed up, and when informed of the reason for the search, she “stated something to the effect of ‘You mean the modeling agency? I told Kendrick it was not legit.’”
During a later search, several cellphones were obtained from Kramer, including one with a communication program that, when activated, allegedly automatically logged in to the account used to contact the girls.
During Thursday’s hearings, Kendrick also entered general denials to allegations that he had violated his sentence in a 2008 case. Kendrick was given a six-year deferred sentence in that case after pleading guilty to felony theft.
If convicted of all his charges, Kramer faces up to three consecutive life terms in prison and a fine of up to $30,000, as well as possible revocation of his prior sentence. He is currently released after posting a $50,000 bond.
The next hearing in Kramer’s new case is set for Sept. 18, and his next revocation hearing is set for Sept. 19.
