Frances Arnhold, 83
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 9 months AGO
Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, our Lord and Savior brought our mother Frances Arnhold home. She passed peacefully with her daughters at her side.
Frances Jane (Miller) Arnhold was born April 7, 1930, in Coeur d’Alene to Joseph and Harriet Miller. Frances graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School in 1948. In 1954 she married Frank Arnhold and they had three children, Thomas, Barbara and Karla. They resided on the Arnhold family farm for 40 years. After Frank passed in 1994, Frances moved back to Coeur d’Alene. In September 2000, she transitioned to Coeur d’Alene Homes Assisted Living.
Frances was well loved by everyone she touched. She enjoyed her cooking and all her handwork and seeming. She loved her church and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church regularly. Her grandchildren were truly the apples of her eye; she loved them with all her heart and had stories for everyone about them.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brothers, Oren Miller and James Miller; and sisters, Mary Ellen Guimond, Kathryn Lake and Carolyn Miller. She is survived by her siblings, Pat Wuolle of Cataldo, Joe (Penny) Miller of Spirit Lake, Harriet Lawrence of Council, Clara LeCocq of Coeur d’Alene; and sister-in-law Dorothy Miller of Cataldo. Also she is survived by her three children, Thomas Arnhold of Kennewick, Wash., Barbara (Jay) McCarley of Coeur d’Alene and Karla Brush of West Richland, Wash. Also her five grandchildren: Alexandra and Andrea Arnhold, Marcus Denney, and Tristan and Mariah Brush; along with many other loving friends and family members.
The family would like to thank the staffs at both Coeur d’Alene Homes Assisted Living and also Kootenai Health. The love and concern that everyone has shown our mother means more to us than we can ever express.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Frances will be laid to rest following the Mass at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
