With the return to school, comes the return to school sports. Athletics provide positive physical fitness, as well as promote coordination, self-discipline and teamwork. While very positive, sports also increase the likelihood of athletic injury.

As parents, you understand that when a child is still growing they are more susceptible to injury. You also know, that the most common source for injuries in young athletes is overuse. This often occurs when young athletes enhance their level of play, become involved in multiple sports, or play through pain and discomfort.

Proper preparation, training and coaching are the ideal preventative measures to avoid injury. In the event an injury does occur, the athlete should get treatment as soon as possible.

While a physician is the first line of defense when a young athlete is injured, we would love to be a part of your child's healing and preventative process!

Pinnacle Physical Therapy is happy to announce the addition of our newest therapist, Bryan Garner. Now, not only does Pinnacle have a staff that is highly trained in treating sports related injuries with experience ranging from pro football trainers and condition specialists, but we have a therapist that has extensive training within adolescent functional capacity. Bryan is excited to continue his treatment programs focusing on pediatric care.

We truly care about your child's health and want to see them return to the field or court just as much as you do! With two convenient locations in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene, Pinnacle can help your child maintain their expanding athletic career...pain free. We commit to getting new patients in within 24-48 hours, call today to schedule your initial evaluation!
