UNION: Offended by Press editorial

This is in response to the editorial printed on July 28.

You state “in our view, unions in government unfairly tip the scales away from taxpayers and toward public employees who execute their jobs marginally or worse.”

I have been employed in the public sector for 38 years, both with and without union representation.

In those 38 years I performed my job with integrity, honesty, dependability and a commitment to good service. I always kept in mind that I was working for the citizens of my community and that they deserved reliable, and responsible service.

So for all the employees in the public sector that feel as I do about the job we do, let me say how utterly offended I was when reading your remarks.
