Caroline Schoen, 89, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away June 22, 2013, at Coeur d’Alene Homes in Coeur d’Alene. She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Judson, N.D. Carol was the daughter of Walter and Cieilia Riedinger. Carol married Ronald Clark April 27, 1941, in Superior, Mont. He passed away Feb. 27, 1978. She married Jim Schoen on Aug. 11, 1980, who passed away Oct. 26, 1995.

Carol loved and enjoyed her family. She is survived by four daughters, Ronee White of Pinehurst, Patty Mawson of Post Falls, Sandie Cafferty of Meridian and Nancy Buckner of Sequim, Wash. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by one daughter, Colleen Fike.

Carol worked many wonderful years as a cook at the Pinehurst Elementary School. Carol moved to the Spokane Valley in 1980 and enjoyed her years there raising her fabulous flower garden of hosta, hydrangea and roses. She also had a great time at the local casinos.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg.
