Whitefish Police on Wednesday were called out to deal with a dispute over dog doo-doo. A landscaper working on West 13th Street said someone let a dog “do his duties” on grass nearby. The landscaper picked it up and put it in the back of his truck. The dog’s owner then came back out of the store, confronted the landscaper, pulled the dog feces out of the truck and threw it back on the grass.

Seven panhandlers were reportedly bothering people on Central Avenue and agreed to leave the city when confronted by police.

A man on Idaho Avenue told police two teenage boys were looking into his house and talking about his stuff. They ran off when his wife confronted them.

Someone reported seeing a white Subaru pulling a cart with Bungee cord.

A caller reported a large group of transients by the bike path. She said they were aggressive when she walked past and had quite a few dogs. Officers advised they had been dealing with the transients all day.

Transients were advised to stay out of a caboose on Central Avenue.

Someone reported people staying in an abandoned motel on U.S. 93.

An Ashley Lake Road man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office his neighbor has “some sort of noise machine” and plays it during the day, which is irritating. Dispatchers could hear the racket through the phone and agreed it was a “horrible sound.” Deputies could not make contact with the neighbor Wednesday.

A woman who lives on U.S. 2 West told deputies that a 3-year-old girl showed up at her front door.

A cat has been stuck 45 feet up in a tree on Sapphire Court for several days and won’t come down, a caller said.

A caller in Bigfork requested extra police patrols in her area because of a dog running loose and defecating all over a neighbor’s yard.

A man on a logging job on Rhodes Draw said a young man came through the work site and threw rocks through the windows of logging vehicles.

A man said he and his wife were walking on Elk Trail when three dogs charged out of a home. One of the dogs, a small Jack Russell terrier, bit him on the leg. The dog’s owner told the man not to worry because the dog is up on its shots. Neighbors came out and told him the dog has bitten numerous people in the neighborhood but no one wants to call and complain because they’re trying to keep the peace.

Someone on Ridgewood Drive reported a heavyset woman carrying a dog upside down by its legs.

A man on Lincoln Lane complained that a neighbor is shooting golf balls at his house.

A caller on Tamarack Woods Drive said a dog keeps barking on the roof of a neighbor’s house. This has been an ongoing problem in the area.

A man picking up his child from a party on Vonderheide Lane was reportedly confronted by a drunken man with an ax.

Someone complained Wednesday to Kalispell Police that a dog on Vista Loop has been barking for a month.

A home on Airport Road was burglarized.

Someone stole a chain saw from a garage on 10th Avenue West.

Three kids who stole a pack of Budweiser from a business on West Idaho Street were later apprehended at the fairgrounds. The beer was returned to the business.
