James Walter Hart, 85, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Rathdrum. He was born July 27, 1928, the son of William and Faye (Currier) Hart in Milwaukee, Wis.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on Jan. 15, 1946. He retired from the Air Force on Dec. 1, 1966.
On Dec. 18, 1948, he married Marjorie M. Bear in Yuma, Ariz. They moved to Idaho in 1977 from California and then in 1993 they moved to Rathdrum.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie; children, James M. Hart and wife Michelle of Bow, Wash., Teresa Tapia and husband Ronald of Blackfoot, and Dennis Hart and wife Louise of Rathdrum. Five grandsons and three granddaughters, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
Public visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, with burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum, with Military Honors. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Rathdrum Bible Church in Rathdrum. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
