COEUR d'ALENE - A new mobile clothing boutique has been stopping to open its doors on Wednesdays this summer at the Downtown Farmers Market in Coeur d'Alene.

Inside it looks like a meticulously organized closet, containing a curated collection of clothing, with designer jeans at its core.

The boutique is the brainchild of friends Kate Lyster and Sara Dalebout.

Known as IndigoInMotion, it has been making regular stops this summer in Sandpoint, too, selling denim and anything that can be styled with it.

With the exception of a handbag or two, prices of the items are less than $100. Other items include dresses, skirts, shorts, T-shirts and shoes.

IndigoInMotion's target customers are women who love clothes, said Lyster. Customers can choose from consignment clothing and brand new items, she said.

"We do have a lot of vintage stuff, so somebody who appreciates vintage can come in and find something that's really fun," Lyster said. "But then somebody who wants a brand-new pair of, say, Paige or J Brand or Citizens of Humanity designer denim, they'll find something here, too."

The inside of the mobile boutique has a rustic, modern look, with reclaimed wood, raw iron fittings and repurposed elements. It also has a dressing room.

Both Lyster and Dalebout take trips to Los Angeles, Seattle and other places to buy clothes. They've got a long list of women who place items on consignment.

Dalebout, who lives in Sandpoint, spent 17 years in fashion merchandising and product development. Lyster, a Sandpoint native living in Coeur d'Alene, works as a professional stylist and interior designer.

IndigoInMotion is scheduled to be at the Downtown Farmers Market today in Coeur d'Alene and at the North Idaho Fair from Aug. 21-25. It has been open for business about three days per week recently between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint.

Next year, Lyster said they plan to haul the trailer away from Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint, hitting Spokane and Missoula, too.

It will be operating seasonally, making appearances from May to October, she said.
