LAWYER: Verdict fit the crimes

I read the recent article about attorney Larry Purviance and his multiple charges with the Idaho Bar Association of professional misconduct and subsequent loss of his license for five years. Like all law enforcement officers in Kootenai County I was not surprised, as we were well aware he was ethically challenged. Mr. Purviance had numerous frivolous lawsuits against law enforcement agencies in Kootenai County, all of which started with; “Once upon a time…” He never won a case and most were dismissed without a trial, showing an obvious lack of merit. While justice was ultimately served, it came at great expense to taxpayers.

Legal work is a noble occupation and I know many attorneys, some of whom represent plaintiffs. They are professional and have integrity. Mr. Purviance does not fall into either of these categories.
