Quincy shooting suspect sought

QUINCY - Quincy police are still searching for a 23-year-old Quincy man in connection to a June shooting.

Marcos A. Avalos Barrera was charged in Grant County Superior Court with two counts of first-degree assault, riot and two counts of harassment. Avalos Barrera's location is unknown at this time, according to reports. Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating him.

On Wednesday, Humberto Davalos Loera, 26, of Quincy, and Luis A. Quintero, 28, of Ephrata, were arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree assault and riot stemming from a June 22 shooting. Both were booked into Grant County Jail.

Jaime Adame Hernadez, 18, was also charged in the shooting and is booked in the Grant County Jail on unrelated charges, according to reports.

The shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation between two groups at homes on C Street Southeast. Both sides displayed weapons and began firing, according to previous reports. A male was shot in the leg and treated at Quincy Valley Medical Center. Several firearms and ammunition were seized in the investigation.

Rigoberto I. Vasquez, 24, was arrested following the incident and charged with first-degree assault.
