Suspected thief confesses via text

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a Church Drive resident who said her home had been burglarized over the last week, with clothing and jewelry stolen. A woman who lives nearby was the suspect, and she apparently admitted by text message that she was responsible.

There was a report from Ardell Drive about vehicles throughout the neighborhood being looted over the weekend.

After an argument about doing chores, a son shoved his mother and slammed a door in her face on East Cottonwood Drive.

A man calling from U.S. 2 East in Coram claimed that a woman had taken $90 from him, possibly for the purpose of purchasing illegal drugs.

A bartender calling from an establishment on Montana 35 in Evergreen requested assistance in getting an unwanted man permanently removed from the building.

After previously calling to complain about a neighbor’s dogs, a resident on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell said the neighbor’s kids came over, tried to start his vehicle, then removed the keys and left them on the ground. The man said he yelled at the kids to leave.

A woman calling from Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls said she left three bags of luggage out on the road, and when she returned it was missing.

A Shady Lane resident said he came home to find the door wide open and belongings scattered all over the place. It was unclear what might be missing.

There was a report of a woman screaming incoherently in the bushes behind a bar on U.S. 2 in Coram. The woman could not be located.

 

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday about a woman attempting to drive away with the gas pump nozzle still in her tank at a gas station on U.S. 93 North. The driver was being uncooperative about paying for the damage to the pump.

A person working at a conservation booth at the Northwest Montana Fair reported the theft of a Kindle reader.

A pink princess bicycle was stolen from a backyard on Hearst Drive.

At about 9 p.m. Sunday, there was a motorcycle accident at Appleway Drive and U.S. 2 West, with a man requiring an ambulance.

There was a report of a woman refusing to leave a bar on U.S. 93 South. She left the premises on her own.

At about 5:30 a.m. Monday, a Third Avenue East North resident reported seeing a teenage boy in her kitchen. She said it’s possible a computer was taken but that the suspect did not cause any damage getting into the house.

A man got caught stealing a beer from a store on First Avenue East North, and he was permanently banned from the business.

 

Whitefish Police got a report Sunday about a deer that was tied to a fence with a rope around its neck off Dakota Avenue. The deer somehow ended up leaving the area on its own.

Another deer was reportedly stuck in a fence off Baker Avenue, but it was eventually freed.

A woman said she was shoved and struck with a walker by another woman who did not want the reporting party in an exercise room at an apartment building on East Seventh Street.

A Macintosh computer and a laptop computer were stolen from a vehicle on Central Avenue.
