The Academy Idaho under-11 boys soccer team won its second straight tournament championship at the Les Schwab Northwest Cup at Plantes Ferry Park in Spokane last weekend.

The Academy defeated Three Rivers SC 3RSC Bull Green 3-2 on Friday night, with goals scored by Aidan O'Halloran, Braden Ferrira, and Cody Carvajal. Andrew Ferreira had an assist.

On Saturday The Academy defeated the Spokane Shadow United 11-0. Goals scored by Braden Ferreira (4), Cody Carvajal had a hat trick, Andrew Ferreira, Devin Claflin (2), and Ethan Lawson. Assists were by Braden Ferreira and Devin Claflin. Alex Moate and Aidan Van Marle teamed for the shutout in goal.

Later that day The Academy defeated Sokane Shadow Elite 12-1. Aidan O'Halloran had a hat trick, Cody Carvajal scored four goals, Braden Ferreira 2, Ethan Lawson, Andrew Ferreira and Kyle Sater one each. Devin Claflin had an assist.

On Sunday The Academy defeated Spokane Shadow B02-Messi 3-2, earning them a spot in the Championship game. Ethan Lawson, Andrew Ferreira and Cody Carvajal scored once each, with assists by Devin Claflin and Aiden Junttila.

In the Championship game The Academy Idaho defeated the Coeur d'Alene Sting Newcastle 7-4. Andrew Ferreira had a hat trick, Braden Ferreira two goals, Ethan Lawson and Ayden Tweedy one each. Aiden Junttila had an assist.
