POWELL, Wyo. - Robert Wilson headed in a corner kick from Rodger Bucknor in the 94th minute, lifting North Idaho College to a 3-2 overtime victory over Northwest College, ranked No. 20 in the NJCAA, on Sunday.

"It's great to be 2-0, and great to beat a ranked team," NIC coach Ken Thompson said. "It was a pretty gritty win."

One of NIC's two goalkeepers didn't make the trip for health reasons, meaning Tanner Jones had to play every minute. A starting midfielder got injured on Saturday, and others filled in over the weekend.

"Without the depth, we don't win today," Thompson said. "Tanner, he had some big-time saves. I'm just really proud of the guys today."

NIC plays Chemeketa Community College of Salem, Ore., on Friday on the first day of the Cardinal Classic at Eisenwinter Field in Coeur d'Alene.

First goal - 1, NWC, Zach Lempka (Will Moats), 32:00. Second half - 2, NIC, Rodger Bucknor (Dylan Allen), 58:00. 3, NIC, John Ray (unassisted), 73:00. 4, NWC, Gage Woodward (Matt Lowndes), 77:00. Overtime - Robert Wilson (Bucknor), 94:00.
