Raymond Earl Meredith at the age of 79, was reunited with Our Lord on Aug. 25, 2013, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by close family after a long battle against Parkinson’s disease.

Raymond was born to Merle and Glen Meredith of Nettleton Gulch in Coeur d’Alene on Nov. 10, 1933.

Raymond enjoyed living in the Pacific Northwest, fishing, hunting, hiking and camping. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.

Raymond and Bette Terlaine Albertson were married on Aug. 15, 1955, where they had three children.

Ray worked and retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by parents and siblings, Gordon, Ronald and Marie.

He is survived by his wife, Bette Meredith; brother Howard Meredith; three children: Joseph Meredith and daughter-in-law Danelle, Susan Meredith and James Meredith; daughters by love, Linda Hoss, Debbie Nadeau and Susan Rehberg; nine grandchildren, Michael Meredith, Samuel Meredith, Robert Meredith, Raymond Meredith and Shawna Nagel, Danae Unland, Mitchell Van Sloten, Jenna Van Sloten and Joshua Van Sloten; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He loved reading the scriptures every day and daily lived what he read and loved to share with others the joy in having a relationship with God and our Lord.

A memorial service with be held at noon Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
