VET: Deserved Press attention

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 4 months AGO
| August 28, 2013 9:00 PM

The Coeur d’Alene Press proudly states that they are “the community’s most trusted source of news and information.” If this is true, please explain to me why the Coeur d’Alene Press did not print one single word on the killing of the 89-year-old World War II Veteran. This story was “front” page news. Not reporting this senseless murder is nothing short of incompetence on the part of The Press.

We live only miles from the scene of this murder and not to print the photographs to inform your readers of what these “teens” look like is criminal in itself. It is sad and disappointing that our local newspaper finds that an event going on at The Coeur d’Alene Resort is front-page news and more newsworthy than the murder of a hero. Shame on you Coeur d’Alene Press, this honorable Vet fought for our freedoms and deserved more. I thank him for his service to our country.
