COEUR d'ALENE - A 32-year-old Post Falls man was sentenced this week to 15 to 32 years in prison for lewd conduct with a minor under 16 years old.

Guy L. Coulston was found guilty by a jury in March.

The lewd conduct charge stemmed from behavior that included genital-to-genital contact with a 15-year-old victim between August 2007 and Nov. 27, 2011, the Kootenai County prosecutor's office said in a news release.

First District Court Judge Fred Gibler considered Coulston's prior criminal history and the current offense conduct, which included grooming behaviors, emotional manipulation, and threatening behaviors that resulted in a long period of abuse of the victim, the news release said.

Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh said the sentence was appropriate given "the unconscionable nature" of the crime.

"Mr. Coulston's continuing denial of responsibility gives the court little comfort in evaluating the likelihood of similar conduct in the future," McHugh said.
