Dog treats pilfered from drop box

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday about someone stealing dog treats from the Humane Society donation drop box.
A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at a bar on U.S. 2 west.
At about 1:19 a.m. Monday, a West Wyoming Street resident said she heard a loud bang on her door. When she went outside, she saw tires on her vehicle had been slashed. She suspected the culprit might be a co-worker who has been harassing her recently.
A man calling from U.S. 93 north and Sunset Boulevard said he slipped on the ice and got his foot stuck in a fence. He required assistance getting unstuck.
An iPod and a heart-rate monitor were reported stolen from a location on Sunny View Lane.
An employee at a North Main Street business reported having a phone stolen from a break room.
A person calling the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office from Battle Hollow Avenue near Somers Sunday said his renters moved out the previous night but left a vehicle on the property with two cats locked inside. The cat owners were contacted and picked up the pets.
A four-wheeler was reported stolen from a Meadow Lake Boulevard residence near Columbia Falls.
A man calling from Judith Road said he was being harassed by another man who kept calling and claiming that his car had been hit by the reporting party, who said he had not been in any accidents recently. It turned out that the reporting party was being pranked by a buddy who was using voice alteration technology when he made the calls.
A man calling from Glacier Vista Drive near West Glacier said his wife had locked him in a room and left the residence. The man was eventually able to get out of the room on his own.
A man calling from Shady Lane reported that his car was stolen by his brother, who took it to Columbia Falls so he could drink at a bar. The man called back to say that his brother called and said he was going to destroy the vehicle.
A woman calling from U.S. 2 near Coram reported that she was thrown to the ground and pushed against a wall by a man, who was subsequently arrested for partner-family member assault.
Early Monday, at about 3:20 a.m., there was a report of several men fighting at a location on Frontage Road near Columbia Falls. Apparently one man was struck in the head with an ax, and at least one person went to North Valley Hospital in a private vehicle to be treated for injuries.
Whitefish Police got a report Sunday regarding a vehicle that had its tires slashed and windows egged on West Fourth Street.
A man calling from Baker Avenue reported that a passport and camera were stolen from his unlocked vehicle while he was inside a store.
Columbia Falls Police got a report just after midnight Monday about an intoxicated, unruly man who was punching walls and threatening others at a location on Meadow Lake Boulevard.
Alarms
A two-vehicle accident around 4 p.m. Monday on the east side of the Montana 35 bridge over the Flathead River required extrication work and backed up traffic substantially on the highway.
Around 4:30 p.m., a semi-truck and trailer slid into a ditch a mile east of West Glacier on U.S. 2. Both lanes were closed so the wreckage could be removed.
