Barbara Ann Jenkins (Jones), 82, died Nov. 28, 2013, at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Barbara was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Spokane, Wash., to James and Beryl Jones. She attended school first in Spirit Lake, Idaho, and, later in Noxon, Mont., where she met her husband, of almost 50 years, Richard Jenkins. They were married on July 23, 1949, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and lived in Noxon where they raised their daughter, Debbie.
They enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, camping and traveling together. In 1994, Barb and Dick moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, where she lived until Dick’s death in 1999. Barb then moved to Rathdrum, Idaho, where she was reunited with high school sweetheart, Jim Brown of Spirit Lake. They enjoyed traveling, music and each other’s company until Jim’s passing in 2010.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stafford and husband David of Coeur d’Alene; two granddaughters, Carolann Vinsant of Coeur d’Alene and Holly Gindt of Post Falls, Idaho; two great-grandsons, Cody Sweet and Spencer Curtis; one brother, James Jones and wife Carolyn of Plains, Mont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jan Dorcheus.
No funeral services are being held at this time.
