Judi Osmonson, 67

Judi Osmonson, 67, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at North Idaho Hospice surrounded by loving family and friends. Judi was born Nov. 6, 1946, in Tacoma, Wash., to Martha and Austin Hancock, and was the oldest of four siblings.
She graduated from Fife High School, and after raising her three children; she continued her education at Tacoma Community College.
She met and married Ron Osmonson in Tacoma in 1978: Judi was the church organist for seven years at the Milton, Washington Assembly of God: Then in 2003 they moved to Post Falls (after a short time in Kennewick, Wash.) Both were working as mobile notaries covering North Idaho and Eastern Washington as independent notaries closing home loans.
Judi was a devoted Christian and through her love of music she played her accordion with Dayspring Prison Ministries performing for inmates at Walla Walla State Prison as well as the correction facility in Connell, Wash. As an accomplished musician Judi played the piano or accordion for various local Christian bands.
She showcased her talents in venues as varied as festivals, and nursing homes and The Gospel Jubilee. She loved her home church, which was North Country Calvary in Post Falls.
Always in the spirit of wanting to help others, Judi organized along with some friends on a project in North Idaho and Eastern Washington gathering up six cases of winter coats for orphans in the impoverished nation of Moldova.
Above all, Judi was devoted and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Her memory is forever in the hearts to all who knew her.
Judi is survived by her husband, Ron Osmonson; son David (Davey) and his wife Mary; two children, (Chelsea and Justin), Marcy Pert, one son (Chase) and Jealynn Percival; two brothers, Dale Hancock and his wife Linda; Richard Hancock and his wife Gloria; one sister, Rebecca Wilson and two children, Philip and Natalie; one stepson, Dave Osmonson of Des Moines, Wash., and many loving relatives on her husband Ron’s side of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one stepson, Stephen Osmonson.
