ArtWalk returns to downtown Coeur d'Alene galleries from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.

The featured galleries this month will be Devin Galleries, 507 Sherman Ave. and Angel Gallery of Fine Art and Antiques, 423 Sherman Ave.

Also participating will be Blackwell Gallery, Coeur d'Alene Galleries, Summers Glass and Beads, Gallery Northwest, Painters Chair, The Art Spirit Gallery, Studio 107 and Steven A. Scroggins Fine Art.

"The galleries usually serve a beverage to visitors and many have demonstrations by their featured artist," said Cheryl Zainfeld, arts and culture manager for the Coeur d'Alene Area Chamber of Commerce.

ArtWalk, a free event, is held every second Friday from April to December in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

During 2013, the events featured 13 galleries and attracted about 500 people each month.

Participating galleries present shows from locally and nationally acclaimed artists, including Harold Balazs, George Carlson, Stephen Shortridge and Joe Kronenberg.
