BORAH: Hats off to these kids

Writing thank you letters is not a lost art at Borah Elementary School in Coeur d’Alene. Panhandle Happy Hatters recently knit and delivered hats to every child attending Borah. The kindergarten class was selected to receive the hats first. The youngsters chose their hats and put them on. The smiles and happy faces that followed could have lit up a room.

This little tale could have ended with all sides being happy, but we have just received thank-you letters. 130 of them! Reading the letters has brought smiles, tears and joy to the members of our club.

A million kudos to Principal Rick Klein and the teachers who prompted the children to write THANK-YOU LETTERS. The letters were greatly appreciated.
