COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene Chorus of Sweet Adelines International recently announced a venue change for their annual Christmas program.

This year's performance will take place at the larger Coeur d'Alene Assembly of God Church, 2200 N. Seventh St., on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.

The Sweet Adelines are a four-part harmony group made up of local women that performs a capella. Part of this year's program will be a group of women who answered an invitation to "try on" the group.

This involved the group of women spending Monday nights for the last two months preparing several songs to perform with the chorus during the program.

In addition to the new faces, three area quartets and the Ramsey Elementary School Special Chorus will also lend their voices to the program.

The Sweet Adelines are led by Sally Wallace and Melodie Hays and this year's program will feature a variety of traditional and modern holiday music.

Tickets are $5 at the door and everyone is welcome to attend the reception following the performance. Children 12 years old and younger will be admitted free of charge.
