MOSES LAKE - Float production began Wednesday night for the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, and will continue today if need be.
Set up for the parade will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Surf n' Slide Water Park parking lot.
The Chamber is also looking for volunteers to ride on the float or walk behind it to hand out candy. If interested, please call the chamber's executive director, Debbie Doran-Martinez, at 509-750-4232.
The festivities continue Saturday with the Farm Family Breakfast. The event is an annual tradition where Basin families are welcome to a complimentary breakfast and Santa photos. This year, breakfast is from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at Michael's on the Lake.
Doran-Martinez said many families attend the breakfast and then enjoy a day in town to kickoff their Christmas shopping or catch a movie. She said the event is in appreciation of the ag community that shops local.
If you are a farm family and did not receive an invitation and would like to attend, please call 509-765-7888 to register.
